Quarks United
No its not about physics of quarks. Its about the imaged moments of a reunion of people who happen to have link with the word due to their choice of curriculum during their under graduate and post graduate days.
Guessed ! Yes its the pics of Reunion 2006 of Department of Physics, S. A. Jaipuria College , Kolkata. We gathered there on 3rd December to brush up our memories which resulted in the framing of some more memorable events. Prof Amal Pal, the person who painted theories of optics in all of our mind, enquired whether I have update about the workings of CCDs. Like those older days I faltered first, then with AP helping me with the clues, we could finally sketch the 'How it Works' of a CCD (Charged Couple Device) based present day digital camera. It was like 1990-91 days when we were learning ray optics, wave optics from this visionary man in room no 19 or 21. Lets not make the feeling longer than the subject. Here are the memories coming out of our meet ! Gautam Bhattacharya took all these photos in his film SLR - thanks Gautam for correcting me and thanks again for sharing the set .

An unusual Evening
Some people leaves permanent impression on some kind of people. The actual chemistry of this pairing is better known by experts in related fields. Subir Mitra is such a person to me. Its really bad to see him going out of reach in means other than the available electronic ones ! I don't feel myself qualified for talking about him. He is an excellent human being with the ability to talk straight. I better share some photographs of the evening when we all got together to say him good bye from WBPCB.
